WASHINGTON—Catholic's Sarah Galloway no-hit Hood in the opener to highlight a non-conference sweep for the Cardinals on Saturday, 8-0, 4-1.

Galloway tossed a complete game five-inning (due to eight-run rule) gem to start things off. She did not walk a batter, struck out four and missed a perfect game by just one runner that reached on an error.

Tamara Maggard was the hard luck loser for Hood. Although she allowed eight runs, only one was earned, thanks to seven errors.

In the nightcap, the Blazers' defense fared no better, committing five errors and Maggard suffered the tough loss again.

Julie Pallansch led Hood with two hits and Carrie Wojcik had an RBI single.

Hood resumes action Monday at home when it takes on Gallaudet University. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
