GETTYSBURG, Pa.--The Hood College volleyball team suffered a
pair of 3-0 setbacks Friday at the Battlefield Classic hosted by
Gettysburg College. The Blazers (1-4) fell to Richard Stockton,
30-20, 30-9, 30-13, and Elizabethtown, 30-13, 30-11, 30-11.
Senior Lindsey Nagy tallied 10 kills in Hood's two matches. She
now has racked up 622 kills for her career, good for fourth place
on Hood's all-time list. She needs just eight more to tie Mandy
South '02 for third all-time. Nagy also served up an ace against
Richard Stockton to give her 170 for her career which ties South
for sixth all-time.
Additionally, senior Jamie Bussey led the defense in both games
with 14 total digs. She is currently in fifth place on Hood's
career digs list with 658 but is only 12 shy of tying Kelly Ashley
'03 for fourth.
The Blazers continue play at the Battlefield Classic Saturday with
matches at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
