TOWSON, Md.--The Hood College field hockey team (1-10) lost to the Goucher College Gophers (4-10) 4-0 Tuesday afternoon in nonconference action.

Lacey Kelley and Jen Graham fired Hood's two shots on the afternoon, both in the second half, but neither was on target. Ali Metzger scored Goucher's first goal in the 17th minute of the first half while Laura Groomes, Laura Spadanuta and Katie Skojec all found the back of the cage in the second half.

Jen Lacy made 13 saves for the Blazers in defeat.

Hood returns to action Saturday at St. Mary's College (Md.) at 12:30 p.m.
