BALTIMORE, Md.--Freshman Brittany Tribett registered her fifth
double-double of the season and matched her career-high with 34
assists but it was not enough as the Hood College volleyball team
(5-17) fell to the College of Notre Dame (Md.) Gators, 3-2 (25-21,
25-23, 19-25, 21-25, 8-15) Thursday in a nonconference match.
Junior Kristina Straub put down 11 kills, finishing one shy of
tying her seasonal high. She also contributed an ace, two blocks
and five digs. Classmate Chelsea Weaver tallied a match-high 25
digs, the seventh time this season she has recorded 20+ digs.
Senior Ashley Burns amassed eight kills and 12 digs while
Brittany Lethbridge smacked seven kills to go along with five digs.
Sophomore Megan Heidel tied her season-high with four kills while
classmate Laura Saad had a pair of kills and served up three aces.
Senior Leah Garland chipped in three kills, four assists and
five digs while junior Kristan Hawkins finished with five kills and
a block assist.
Hood wraps up the regular season with three matches next week.
The Blazers host Catholic University Monday, travel to York College
(Pa.) Wednesday and host Goucher College Friday on senior night.
