CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.--The Hood College field hockey team (2-13) suffered a 3-0 setback to nonconference rival Wilson College (10-3) Friday afternoon.

Wilson ranks among the NCAA leaders in shutouts and registered its 10th blanking of the season against the Blazers. Junior Colleen McCarrick struck Hood's lone shot on goal, but Whitney Hawkins came up with the defensive save for the Phoenix.

The Phoenix scored in the sixth minute of the contest and then again with just 2:19 left before halftime. Megan Schneck tacked on Wilson's third score in the 49th minute.

Hood's first-year keeper Ashley Stennett tallied four saves in the cage.

The Blazers make their final roadtrip of the season Sunday when Hood travels to Rosemont College for a 1 p.m. nonleague game.
