ARLINGTON, Va.--The Hood College volleyball team (5-9, 0-5 CAC) lost to the Marymount University Saints (6-13, 1-4 CAC) by a 3-0 margin (11-25, 13-25, 25-27) Wednesday evening in a Capital Athletic Conference contest.

Ashley Beall smacked a team-high five kills and posted eight digs while Ashley Whaley, Brittany Lethbridge and Kristina Straub all tallied three kills. Chelsea Weaver registered a match-high 13 digs while Amy Hagerdon collected 11 assists.

Marymount's Sharda Braxton paced all attackers with 15 kills as the Saints picked up their first CAC win of the season.

Hood continues its six-match road trip Friday at Shenandoah University. The Blazers square off against the Hornets at 6 p.m. in a nonleague affair.
