Box Score DOVER, Del.--The Hood College volleyball team (4-8, 0-4 CAC)
rallied from a 2-1 deficit to force a decisive fifth set but came
up just short in the final stanza, falling to the Wesley College
Wolverines (4-19, 1-2 CAC) by scores of 20-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-19,
4-15 Thursday evening in a Capital Athletic Conference match.
Sophomore Brittany Lethbridge recorded a career-high 12 kills
and added 18 digs for her first career double-double. First-year
Amy Hagerdon set up a career-best 21 kills and added three of her
own, while senior Kristina Straub contributed five kills, five
assists and 11 digs. Senior Chelsea Weaver spearheaded Hood's
defensive effort with a team-high 20 digs, vaulting her into third
place all-time on Hood's career digs chart. Classmate Kristan Hawkins posted a season-high seven kills and served up two aces on
the night and first-year Ashley Whaley chipped in a pair of kills
as well.
Hood is idle over the weekend before traveling to Valley Forge
Christian College Monday for a 7 p.m. nonconference match.
