STEVENSON, Md.--Stevenson University's Stephanie Eyler recorded a hat trick as the Mustangs (7-3-2, 1-1-1 CAC) defeated the Hood College women's soccer team (1-9, 0-4 CAC) Saturday afternoon in a Capital Athletic Conference contest.

Eyler scored twice in the first half and again just 1:32 into the second half to account for the bulk of Stevenson's scoring. Amanda Marston tacked on her second tally of the season in the 57th minute for SU.

Hood's Dorothy Hearn fired Hood's lone shot on target on the afternoon in the first half but SU's Brittany Ross was there for the save. Kirsten Cacciola stopped 12 Mustang attempts on the afternoon in the losing cause.

Hood continues CAC play Oct. 5 at Frostburg State University at 7 p.m.
