FREDERICKSBURG, Va.--Junior Stephanie Weaver of the Hood College women's soccer team (4-13, 2-6 CAC) scored her first career goal in a 7-1 Capital Athletic Conference loss to the University of Mary Washington (8-4-2, 3-3-1 CAC) Wednesday afternoon.

Weaver headed in a cross from Samantha Norris in the 70th minute for Hood's lone goal of the day. The Eagles scored a pair of goals within the first 2:12 of the contest and added two more before the half was over.

UMW's Erin Reynolds notched a hat trick, scoring once in the first half and twice more within a span of 14 seconds in the second half. Four other Eagles found the back of the net as UMW outshot Hood, 25-6.

Kirsten Cacciola stopped six shots for the Blazers.

Hood wraps up the 2011 season Tuesday when it travels to Catholic University for a 4 p.m. nonconference game.
