FRONT ROYAL, Va.--The Hood College volleyball team (4-5) registered a four-set victory (25-18, 25-20, 23-25, 27-25) Friday evening over Christendom College (8-2) in nonconference action.

Hood handed the Crusaders just their second loss of the season and ended the squad's six-match winning streak.

First-year Hayley Rogers posted seven kills for the Blazers while sophomore setter Amy Hagerdon recorded her fourth double-double in the last five matches with 16 digs and 34 assists to go along with three aces. Junior Alyssa Eshleman nearly tallied a double-double of her own with nine kills and 14 digs.

The Blazers host a pair of matches next week beginning with a Wednesday matchup with Capital Athletic Conference rival Wesley College at 7 p.m. Hood also hosts Johns Hopkins University Thursday at 7 p.m. in a nonleague tilt.
