Box Score 2 STEVENSON, Md.--The Hood College volleyball team (6-15, 0-6 Commonwealth) lost both matches of a Commonwealth Conference tri-match Saturday to Stevenson University, 3-0 (7-25, 5-25, 14-25) and Lycoming College, 3-0 (10-25, 16-25, 16-25) at Stevenson.
The first-place Mustangs (27-2, 7-0 Commonwealth) hit .449 as a team and racked up 36 kills to Hood' seven. Brittany Lethbridge had three kills and Amy Hagerdon and Allie Donoghue chipped in two apiece. Sophie Whalen contributed six assists, two aces and three digs while Kaitlyn Hays posted a match-high nine digs.
In the second match against the sixth-place Warriors (18-5, 3-3 Commonwealth), Lethbridge collected a team-best six kills, Hagerdon had five, Ashley Park-Brouse finished with three and Rebecca Rieser tacked on a pair. Hagerdon led the defense with a match-high 13 digs and Alyssa Eshleman set 10 of Hood's 16 kills and had eight digs.
Hood continues Commonwealth Conference play Wednesday when it travels to Albright College (5-12, 0-6 Commonwealth) for a 7 p.m. match. The Blazers and Lions are tied for ninth place in the league and are both in search of their first conference triumphs of the season.
