Box Score ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.--The Hood College volleyball team (6-12, 0-4 Commonwealth) traveled to Elizabethtown College Tuesday night for a Commonwealth Conference match but came up short against the Blue Jays (19-4, 5-1 Commonwealth), falling 3-0 (12-25, 19-25, 19-25).
Kathryn Jones and Sophie Whalen each recorded season-highs in the match. Jones put down seven kills and registered a match-high 17 digs, both season-bests. Whalen, who came into tonight's match with 12 total assists on the season, more than doubled her season total after setting 18 of Hood's 26 kills on the night.
Amy Hagerdon finished with a team-high eight kills to go along with 13 digs, two aces and two assists while Allie Donoghue tallied two kills, three assists, two digs and a solo block. Brittany Lethbridge chipped in five kills and three digs while Rebecca Rieser contributed three kills and six digs. Keesha Fields and Whalen both had nine digs apiece.
The Blazers return to BB&T Arena Thursday for a 7 p.m. nonconference match against Catholic University.
