WILKES-BARRE, Pa.--The Hood College men's swim team (6-3, 4-3
MAC) won seven individual events and both relays in a decisive
126-57 triumph over King's College (Pa.) in a Middle Atlantic
Conferences dual meet Saturday.
Hood's 200 medley relay squad of Jonathan Bullard-Sisken, Connor
Eliff, Thomas Farrell and Daniel Lee bested the King's squad by
nearly five seconds with a winning time of 1:48.90 to set the tone
for the meet.
Individual winners for the Blazers included Andrew Bodine in the
200 free (1:54.65) and the 100 free (50.72, season-best), Michael
Curry in the 50 free (23.66, season-best), Alex Bodine in the 200
IM (2:08.46) and the 200 back (2:06.04, season-best), Eliff in the
200 fly (2:18.05) and Lee in the 500 free (5:32.77,
season-best).
Bullard-Sisken notched a season-best in the 200 free (1:54.75),
while Lee (53.97) and Drake Halpern (1:01.44) also lowered their
fastest times of the season in the 100 free. Nate Leighton shaved
close to 12 seconds off his 500 free time (5:52.83) and Farrell
earned second-place points with a season-best time in the 200
breast (2:36.95).
The 200 free relay team of Andrew and Alex Bodine, Eliff and Jon
Collier missed lowering the school record by 0.04 seconds with a
winning time of 1:32.26.
The Blazers return to King's again in two weeks for the Diamond
City Invitational Nov. 30-Dec. 1.
