MONT ALTO, Pa.--The Hood College volleyball team (5-5) evened its record back to .500 with its second 3-0 sweep over Penn State-Mont Alto (0-6) in as many weeks Friday night.

Hood cruised to a 25-11 triumph in the first set and held on for narrow two-point wins in the second (27-25) and third (26-24) sets. The Blazers also defeated the Nittany Lions in their own tri-match last weekend at BB&T Arena.

Brittany Lethbridge racked up a match-high 10 kills to go along with seven digs and a pair of aces. Ashley Park-Brouse recorded six kills and seven digs while Kathryn Jones aced the Nittany Lions seven times and also had six digs.

Alyssa Eshleman tallied seven assists while Allie Donoghue set up eight Blazer kills and Sophie Whalen assisted on five of her own. Hood amassed 12 aces in the match and owned a 27-22 advantage in the kill category.

Hood's next match is slated for Tuesday, Sept. 25, versus Gettysburg College at BB&T Arena at 7 p.m.
