Box Score 2 WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The Hood College volleyball team dropped both ends of a tri-match at Lycoming, falling to the Warriors and nationally ranked Stevenson in Commonwealth Conference volleyball action.
In the opener against Lycoming, the Blazers fell 25-3, 25-20 and 25-11. The 20th-ranked Mustangs swept Hood by scores of 25-8, 25-12 and 25-14.
Addie Roop (New Windsor, Md. / Francis Scott Key) led Hood against the Warriors with eight kills and four aces for 12 points. Kathryn Jones (Newfane, N.Y. / Newfane) had nine assists, seven digs and two blocks. Ashley Park-Brouse (Myersville, Md. / Middletown) also had two blocks and Keesha Fields (Willow Hill, Pa. / Fannett-Metal) was credited with 10 digs.
Shelby Gear had nine kills, four aces and two blocks for Lycoming. Katelyn McKillop had 30 assists.
Amy Hagerdon (Berryville, Va. / Clarke County) paced the Blazers in the match with the Mustangs with five kills. She also had 10 digs. Jones once again had nine assists. Roop added four kills, 12 digs and two blocks.
Christine Isenberg had eight kills for Stevenson.
Hood will look to get back in the win column on October 15 at Penn St.-Mont Alto.
