CHESTER, Pa. - The Hood College women's soccer team dropped its Commonwealth Conference match tonight to the host Widener University Pride 2-0.

Karen Thomas scored the first goal in the 21st minute when she two-touched a through ball from Casey Pelican, and fired it into the net.

Thomas also assisted on the second goal in the 88th minute when her shot was saved by Leah Norris (Bryans Road, Md. / Lackey), but Kelly Buckley was there to put home the rebound. 

Norris faced 17 shots and made five saves, Valarie Perretti made three saves on four shots for the Pride. 

The Blazers play game three of their four-game road trip against the Elizabethtown Blue Jays on October 19.
