MONT ALTO, Pa. - Hood College had its best hitting match of the season in a 3-0 win over Penn State Mont Alto in non-conference action.

The Blazers hit .310 and had just six attack errors as a team on the night. 

Set scores were 25-20, 25-20, and 25-22.

Ashley Park-Brouse (Myersville, Md. / Middletown) controlled the net all evening, with four blocks. She also was error free in 11 attacks with eight kills for a sterling .727 hitting mark for the evening. Her 13 points led the team.

Amy Hagerdon (Berryville, Va. / Clarke County) had a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs. She had just one error in 29 attacks. 

Addie Roop (New Windsor, Md. / Francis Scott Key) hit .412 in the win with eight kills and just one error on 17 attempts. She also led the team with 14 digs. Rebecca Rieser (Middletown, Md. / Middletown) had three blocks. Kathryn Jones (Newfane, N.Y. / Newfane) dished out 19 assists.

Katie Graham led the Nittany Lions with 10 kills and was one of three PSU-Mont Alto players with 13 digs.

Hood snapped the Nittany Lions' seven-match win streak.

The Blazers return to BB&T Arena for Commonwealth Conference match with Albright at 7 p.m. on October 16.
