WASHINGTON, D.C. - Hood College fell victim to a hot-hitting Gallaudet squad as the Bison swept the Blazers in non-conference volleyball action.

Set scores were 25-19, 25-8 and 25-14.

Gallaudet hit .434 in the match and had just four attack errors.

In the opening set, Allie Donoghue (Owings, Md./Bishop McNamara) turned in a kill and an ace to start the match and added two more kills during a 14-5 Hood run to open the match.

Gallaudet slowly pulled itself back into the set, but still trailed 16-12 after a kill by Amy Hagerdon (Berryville, Va./Clarke County). Jasmine Peterson trimmed the Blazer lead to three and the Bison defense forced four straight attack errors by Hood during an 8-0 run. 

Gabriela Enriquez (Frederick, Md./Frederick) halted the spurt with a kill that made it 20-17 Gallaudet, but the Blazers could not pull closer. 

In the second set, the Bison jumped ahead 6-0 and never looked back. Hood trailed in the third set, but posted a 6-0 run of its own to pull within striking distance at 20-14 before Gallaudet closed out the set.

Hagerdon had her eighth double-double of the year with 10 kills and 11 digs, both team-highs. 

Kathryn Jones (Newfane, N.Y./Newfane) passed out 15 assists. Ashley Park-Brouse (Myersville, Md./Middletown) notched a pair of blocks. 

Kali Frowick led all players with 12 kills and TraciAnn Hoglind dished out a match-high 31 assists.

Hood travels to Lebanon Valley on October 30.
