Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. - Hood College's Amy Hagerdon (Berryville, Va. / Clarke County) served up seven aces, the most by a Blazer this season, but it was not enough as Catholic defended its home court with a three-set win.
Set scores were 25-10, 25-12, and 25-17.
Hagerdon also had 16 digs to lead the team and was one of four Hood players with four kills.
Gabriela Enriquez (Frederick, Md. / Frederick), Addie Roop (New Windsor, Md. / Francis Scott Key), and Rebecca Rieser (Middletown, Md. / Middletown) also notched four kills in the match.
Brenna Elizondo (Littleton, Colo. / Heritage) had 16 assists. Theresa Schwarzwalder added 11 digs and Ashley Park-Brouse (Myersville, Md. / Middletown) had two blocks.
Hagerdon's seven aces were the most for a Blazers since September 21, 2012 against Penn State-Mont Alto (Kathryn Jones, 7).
Hagerdon finishes her career among Hood's all-time leaders in kills (490, seventh), assists (602, fifth), service aces (160, ninth), and digs (896, third). Her 291 digs this year are the ninth best single season tally in school history, while her 202 kills are tenth best.
