HARRISBURG, Pa. - A goal in the 87th minute for the host PSU-Harrisburg was the difference as they defeated Hood women's soccer 2-1. Hannah Jorich pounced on a rebound off a Hood save, for her thrid goal of the season.

Freshman Jill Heyman scored her first career goal for the Blazers in the 33rd minute to tie the game at one. Her goal came two mintues after the Nittany Lions took the lead. 

The Blazers had two chances to tie the game late, but a shot by Jessie Herbert 26 seconds after the game winning goal was saved, and a Brittni Souder shot was stopped with 10 seconds left in the game. 

Hood attacked throughout the game, outshooting the hosts by 15-12, with 11 coming in the second half. The Blazers earned three corners, compared to the one for the Nittany Lions. Leah Norris made seven saves for Hood in the loss.

The Blazers look to bounce back when they travel to Goucher College on September 18. The game against the Gophers kicks off at 4 p.m.
