WESTMINSTER, Md. - Hood College fell in three sets to non-conference rival McDaniel in women's volleyball action.

The Green Terror won the first set 24-16, but Hood rebounded to hold leads in each of the next two sets. The Blazers opened the second set with a 5-1 run and still led 14-10 midway through before McDaniel battled back for the 25-22 victory. In set three, Hood led 24-17, but the Green Terror went on a 10-1 run to close out the match.

Kathryn Jones (Newfane, N.Y. / Newfane) had a double-double with 20 assists and 10 digs. Amy Hagerdon (Berryville, Va. / Clarke County) led the team with eight kills. Addie Roop (New Windsor, Md. / Francis Scott Key) added four kills, two aces, nine digs and had the team's only block. Ashley Park-Brouse (Myersville, Md. / Middletown) served up three aces, while Allie Donoghue (Owings, Md. / Bishop McNamara) had two.

Kloe Martin led McDaniel with 16 kills and hit .482 in the match.

The Blazers return to Commonwealth Conference action when they travel to Widener on October 2 for a 7 p.m. match.
