FREDERICK, Md. - Kylie Armstrong's (Woodbury Heights, N.J. / Gateway Regional) second half goal tied the score 1-1 as Hood College and Widener University played to a draw.

The two teams remained scoreless until 37 minutes into the first half.  The Pride's Jenna Pedrick took a shot that bounced off the crossbar to Erica McDonough, who scored the games first goal.

The Blazers had a strong start in the second half with Armstrong's goal in the first five minutes.  Sarah Marcello (Carlisle, Pa. / Boiling Springs) worked her way through the defense and crossed the ball to Armstrong to tie the score 1-1.

In the 58th minute, Hood's Samantha Norris (Frederick, Md. / Gov. Thomas Johnson) was awarded a penalty kick for a chance to take the lead, but the shot was high.

Alexis Andrukat (Smithsburg, Md. / Smithsburg) made big saves for the Blazers in first overtime,  stopping two shots on goal by Widener. In second overtime, Andrukat tallied another two saves to finish the game in a 1-1 tie. She finished the game with nine saves.

Olivia Pfautz stopped six balls for the Pride.

Hood takes on Messiah on October 21.
