WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Hood College's Lauren Fogarty (Arnold, Md. / Broadneck) had four top finishes as the Blazers fell to Lycoming College 137-125.
Fogarty notched the first win in the 200-yard medley relay with teammates Theresa Schwarzwalder (Columbia, Md. / Wilde Lake), Brittany Devalk (Elk River, Minn. / Elk River) and Hayley Rogers (Jefferson, Md. / Brunswick). The group finished with a time of 1:59.34.
Fogarty had wins in the 100 and 200 butterfly, turning in times of 1:02.60 and 2:20.08, respectively. Her final win of the afternoon was in the 200 individual medley, touching the wall at 2:20.66.
Anne Lessard (Natick, Mass. / Natick) had a victory in the 100 freestyle with a time of 57.84. Sydney Langer (Falls Church, Va. / Falls Church) was two seconds behind her, placing third.
Caitlin Fay (Henrico, Va. / Mills E. Godwin) claimed first place in the 200 free touching the wall at 2:06.19. Brittany Whitham (Fort Collins, Colo. / Resurrection Christian) placed third with a time of 2:09.93.
Lessard placed second in the 100 backstroke, turning in a time of 1:06.23. Teammates Shannon McHale (Hauppauge, N.Y. / Hauppauge) and Schwarzwalder took third and fourth with times of 1:06.73 and 1:07.15.
In the 1000 free Blazers' Fay, Whitham and Lindsay Cronin (Arlington, Va. / Washington & Lee) notched second, third and fourth. They finished with times of 11:37.32, 11:52.54, and 12:15.88, respectively.
Rogers swam a time of 26.94 in the 50 free, good for second place. Lessard was the next to finish with a time of 27.41.
Schwarzwalder placed second in the 200 back with a time of 2:21.20 and Fay took third with 2:22.42.
Devalk finished second in the 200 breaststroke in 2:50.11, just one second after the top finisher. In the 100 breast she placed third with a time of 1:18.29.
Whitham and Langer notched second and third in the 500 free with times of 5:47.90 and 5:52.04.
Lessard, Whitham, Langer and Fay rounded out the day in the 400 free relay. They swam a time of 3:55.06, placing second.
Hood travels to Messiah for a quad meet with Widener and FDU-Florham on November 8.
