FREDERICK, Md. - Sophomore Ashley Fourcade (Rockville, Md. / Richard Montgomery) set the Hood College career record with her 11th home run in the team's Commonwealth Conference finale.

Arcadia completed the sweep with an 11-0 win in game one and an 8-2 victory in game two. 

Arcadia 11, Hood 0

The Knights used a big third inning to take control of the game, scoring five times to open up a 6-0 lead. With one out and three runs already across the plate, Leanda Helms launched a two-run homer over the left field fence. 

Erin Wilson pitched a complete game one-hitter and struck out 10 Blazers. Cady Baer (Frederick, Md. / Catoctin) delivered the lone hit and reached on a walk. 

Helms, Sarah Gunia, and Natalie O'Rielly each had two RBIs. Gunia recorded three hits as well. Wilson helped her own cause with two hits. 

Keerstie Robinson (Windsor, Pa. / Northeastern) allowed 13 hits and had two strikeouts.

Arcadia 8, Hood 2

Trailing by one in the bottom of the first, Fourcade stepped to the plate with Jennifer Rutherford (Phoenixville, Pa. / Phoenixville Area) on first. After falling behind in the count 0-2, and fouling away a pitch, she set the Hood College career home run record with a monster shot high over the left field fence. 

The Blazers couldn't keep the momentum and gave the lead back in the second inning. Arcadia scored three more in the third to open a 6-2 lead. 

Amy Hagerdon (Berryville, Va. / Clarke County) led Hood with two hits, moving her five hits away from the career record. 

Sarah Gunia scattered six hits over seven innings for the win. Kristin Ganderton (Maple Glen, Pa. / Upper Dublin) allowed 13 hits and struck out one. 

Alicia McMahon had three hits and scored three runs. 

Fourcade's blast surpassed Melanie Muscar, who set the record in 2003-2004. 

Hood wraps up the season with a double-header at Gettysburg on April 28. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
