ARLINGTON, Va. - The Hood College women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 3-0 to McDaniel on the second day of the Marymount Invitational. 

Goals by Nicole Hill and Elizabeth Reid put the Blazers down 2-0 at the half. Catherine Wroblewski added an insurance goal in the 72nd minute. 

Hood's (0-1-1) best scoring opportunity came in the 58th minute on a shot by Jessie Herbert (Sykesville, Md. / Century). 

Leah Norris (Bryans Road, Md. / Lackey) made her first start of the year in goal and made five saves for the Blazers. 

Sarah McDonald started in net for the Green Terror (2-0)  and played the first half. Brianna Ferrara and Mackenzie Farley split time in the second half. 

The Blazers seek their first win of the year when they travel to Catholic on September 3.
