FREDERICK, Md. - A goal in the 90th minute was the difference as Hood College fell 1-0 to the University of Mary Washington.

After a scoreless first half, Brittney George (Middletown, Md. / Middletown) had the lone shot for Hood in the 71st minute.

Anna Manser's breakaway in the 68th minute led her to a one-on-one with Alexis Andrukat (Smithsburg, Md. / Smithsburg), who made the save to preserve the tie. 

It appeared the teams were headed for overtime, but the Eagles' Allie Branum worked her way through defense for the game-winner with just seven seconds to go.

Andrukat had seven saves. 

The Blazers take on Notre Dame (Md.) for a make-up game on September 22.
