WINCHESTER, Va. - Hood College field hockey suffered its first loss of the season in a 2-0 final against Shenandoah University.

Jessica Sedgwick (Fairfield, Conn. / Cushing Academy) made 19 saves, a career-high, to keep the Blazers in the game.  Taylor Little and Lauren Mills of the Hornets, scored a goal each during the first half.

The Blazers return home to take on Cedar Crest on September 6.
