PRINCETON, N.J. - Hood College's Alexandra Dystant (Odenton, Md. / Arundel) finished second in the 1,000-meter at the Princeton Invitational.
The senior turned in a time of 3:09.03, over three seconds ahead of the third-place finisher. Dystant's time was just .03 off an ECAC qualifying time, but the meet was not contested on a flat track and once the conversion is applied, Dystant should qualify for the ECAC Championships.
Melissa Mazzo of Division I Delaware won the event in 3:00.87.
Dystant was the only Blazer in competition at Princeton.
