Box Score MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Arcadia jumped in front of Hood early went on to defeat the Blazers 11-2 in Commonwealth Conference action.
Dylan Johnson (Newville, Pa. / Big Spring) had two hits for Hood. Paul Quattrone (Laurel, Md. / Reservoir) added an RBI single in the eighth.
The Knights scored twice in each the second and third innings, then broke the game open with a four-run fifth.
Michael Nessel scattered five hits and two walks in seven innings for Arcadia and also had three hits at the plate. Nick Todero went 3-for-5. Justin Chasmar drove in three runs and had three hits.
Cameron Fitzgerald (Bowie, Md. / DeMatha Catholic) started for Hood and took the loss, pitching the first four innings.
The Blazers wrap up the first conference series in school history with a doubleheader against the Knights on March 14. The twinbill also wraps up Hood's spring break trip.
