Hood Falls to Gettysburg in First Home Game in School History

FREDERICK, Md. - Playing the first home game in school history, the Hood College baseball team fell to Gettysburg 11-2.

The highlight of the day for the Blazers came in the bottom of the ninth, when Josh Gall (Odenton, Md. / Arundel) drove a ball over the fence in right field for his first career home run. 

Gall also drove in Hood's first run with a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning. Brooks Warrenfeltz (Middletown, Md. / Middletown) went 2-for-4.

For the Bullets, Mike Kielbasa had two triples to fuel a pair of four-run innings in the second and the fifth. He finished with four hits and four runs batted in.

Connor Tom added an RBI triple in the fourth inning and a run scoring single during a two-run top of the ninth. 

Cory Karagjozi went 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Tom drove in three. 

Eric Brown notched the win with seven innings of one-run ball. 

Jake Franke (Lisbon, Md. / Glenelg) pitched the first 4.2 innings and took the loss. 

Hood travels to Stevenson on March 21 for a Commonwealth Conference doubleheader at 1 p.m.
