FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's soccer team dropped its home opener 5-0 to visiting Shenandoah.

Rachel Knoebel (Bel Air, Md. / C. Milton Wright) made her collegiate debut in the second half and had four saves. Alexis Andrukat (Smithsburg, Md. / Smithsburg) started and stopped three shots in the first half. 

After Ashley McCleaf scored the first goal of the game, she assisted on the next three as the Hornets took a 4-0 lead into the half. Rebecca Collimore scored both of her goals in the first half. 

Elizabeth Bellido scored the last goal of the first half and Danielle Burris scored the second half's only goal.

Erin Septer made two saves for the Hornets.

Hood hosts East. Mennonite on September 19 at 3 p.m.
