FREDERICK, Md. - After a storm wiped out what was to be the Hood College field hockey team's season opener on September 2, the Blazers were finally able to get on the field against Washington College, but fell 4-0.

Hailey Poisal (Westminster, Md. / Westminster) made her collegiate debut and stopped 21 shots in goal for Hood. Shelby Amspacher (Havertown Pa. / Archbishop Carroll) made a defensive save.

Elizabeth Mitchell had the second goal of each half for the Shorewomen. Jordan Mitchell and Allison Remenapp each added a goal and an assist. 

The Blazers look to get into the win column on Saturday, September 5 when Virginia Wesleyan visits Thomas Athletic Field. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
