Despite Strong Defense, Hood Falls to Wilson

Box Score

FREDERICK, Md. - Jayden Barrick (Newport, Pa./ Newport) recorded three defensive saves, but visiting Wilson managed to pull out a 1-0 victory in non-conference action

Barrick's effort equaled the most defensive saves in a game for a Blazer since Rachel Marlow had three against Frostburg State in September 2014.

Hailey Poisal (Westminster, Md./ Westminster) started in goal for the Blazers and recorded 12 saves.

Hood's best scoring chance on the day came in the 58th minute when Alexis Briscoe (Columbia, Md./ Long Reach) received a pass on the right side, but was turned away by Kayla Butts.

Wilson took the lead in the 52nd minute when Kari Lehman rebounded her previous shot and scored.

The Blazers look to find the win column October 3 as they travel to Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth foe Lebanon Valley. Game time is slated for 6 p.m.
