FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College volleyball team makes its annual trip to the Eastern Mennonite Invitational on September 4-5.

SCOUTING HOOD

Hood opened the season with a 3-0 loss at Shenandoah earlier this week.

Caroline Kinna (Frederick, Md. / Walkersville) led Hood with seven kills in her collegiate debut. Kathryn Jones (Newfane, N.Y. / Newfane) had 10 digs and nine assists. Elena Young (Hagerstown, Md. / South Hagerstown) added three blocks.

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION

The Blazers will face Mary Baldwin and Goucher on Friday, with matches against Salem and Methodist following on Saturday.

Mary Baldwin is 0-2 to start the year. Goucher enters the tournament at 0-1. Of Saturday's opposition, Methodist won its season opener, while Salem opens the year with the tournament.
