FREDERICK, Md. - Hood College fell to Virginia Wesleyan 4-0 in nonconference action at Thomas Athletic Field.

Hailey Poisal (Westminster, Md. / Westminster) had 16 saves for the Blazers on the day. The Blazers best scoring chances came in the second half, but Kate Sigman (Adamstown, Md. / Tuscarora) and Shelby Amspacher (Havertown Pa. / Archbishop Carroll) were turned away by Skye Swain.

Taylor Marshall had two goals for the Marlins on the afternoon. Asiah Allen and Missy Stroup each added a goal. Melissa Rideout and Valentina Jones assisted on goals.

The Blazers look to bounce back on Thursday, September 10 when they travel to play Notre Dame (Md.). Game is set for 4:30 p.m.
