FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's volleyball team fell on Senior Night to visiting Widener, 3-0. 

Before the match, the Blazers honored seniors Kari Betson, Gabriela Enriquez and Caroline Kinna for their contributions to the program.

Inside the Box Score

• Elena Zinaich led Hood with 11 kills and three service aces. 
• Payton Belella had 25 assists and nine digs, both team-highs. 

How it Happened

• The first set was a close duel, with the Blazers taking a 21-20 lead on a kill by Courtney Hutchinson. The Pride won the next three points, however, to take the lead. 
• Widener had a total of just two attack errors in the final two sets to pull away for the win. The Pride hit .395 for the match.
• Widener served up a total of 17 aces in the match. 

Notes

• Hood drops to 9-19 overall and 2-6 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth. 
• Widener is 12-16 overall and 4-3 in league matches. 
• Nicole Dorman had 15 kills and three blocks. Caroline Dangel added 28 assists and added five kills on seven attempts. Janie Kalinock had eight kills and six aces.
