- Hood had its chances in the next two sets, with Catholic inching away to capture the win. An ace by Zinaich made it 19-19 in the second set, but the Cardinals closed with a 5-1 run. Another Zinaich ace made it 13-12 in the third set, but Catholic took a 21-14 lead.
How it Happened Against CCNY
- Hood limited the Beavers to a -.082 hitting percentage in the match.
- In addition to holding the CCNY attacking game in check, the Blazers tallied 16 service aces in the contest.
