WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The Hood College men's swim team defeated host Lycoming, but fell to Misericordia in a Middle Atlantic Conference tri-meet.

How it Happened
- Cameron Rogers continued his dominance in the distance freestyle events. He won the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:22.97 and the 500 free in 5:03.25. Rogers won the 1,000 by a whopping 41seconds, while his margin in the 500 was eight seconds. The senior extended his win streak in dual, tri or quad meets to 22 straight in the 500 and 21 in a row in the 1,000. The streak dates all the way back to midway through his freshman season.
- Chris Gardner scored a win in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:41.18. The senior added third place finishes in both the 100 backstroke (56.27) and 200 back (2:03.86).
- Ernesto Evans claimed second in both of the sprint freestyle events. He was second in the 50 free, swimming up and back in 22.44. He added a time of 50.74 in the 100 for his second runner up performance of the day.
- Hood had two of the top three finishers in the 100 breaststroke. BJ Daisey was second in 1:03.74, while Gabriel Hernandez-Paese took third in 1:08.90. Daisey tallied two more second place finishes in the 200 breast with his time of 2:22.14 and the 200 butterfly in 57.35.
- Joining Rogers in the distance events were Max Riedel and Drew Wilson. Riedel was second in the 500 in 5:11.11. Wilson swam a time of 11:28.20 to take third place in the 1,000.
- Matt Ball scored a third place finish in the 200 butterfly in 2:14.42.
- The quartet of Gardner, Daisey, Ball and Hernandez-Paese was third in the 200 medley relay completing the four strokes in 1:44.52.
Notes
- Hood is 6-3 overall and 4-3 against MAC opponents.
- Lycoming dropped to 1-4 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
- Misericordia improved to 5-1, all against MAC foes.
