Box Score 2 LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Hood College's Kristy Erfurdt (Thurmont, Md. / Catoctin) was listed among last week's top performances by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
Texas-Tyler's Kristin Lopez and Washington (Mo.) University's Annie Pitkin were selected as the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III National Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.
Erfurdt hit a home run in three of four games last week, while having multiple hits in all four contest to lead the Blazers to a 3-1 week. Erfurdt hit a 10th-inning home run off of Widener's Alexis Schengrund (Schengrund's first allowed home run). In the doubleheader split with Widener, Erfurdt went 4-for-6 with four runs scored, three RBIs, two doubles, a home run and two walks. Against Houghton, in two shortened games, the sophomore homered in both and was 6-for-7 with eight RBIs and three runs scored.
She was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Player of the Week.
Erfurdt is the third player listed among the week's top performances by the NFCA this season. Kayli Paugh (Elkridge, Md. / Howard) and Roo Saglimbeni (Woodbine, Md. / Glenelg) were both listed on Mar. 9.
