An RBI double by Stephany Courtney in the second inning, and a third inning solo home run by Madison Bear gave Albright a 2-0 lead. After Fourcade got the Blazers on the board with a home run in the bottom of the fourth, the Lions scored twice in the top of the fifth to take a 4-1 edge.
In the bottom of the sixth, one out singles by Paugh and Saglimbeni put runners on first and second. Alcorn followed and sent a pitch deep over the fence in left to tie the game at 4-4. With two outs, Kristen Scott (Rockville, Md. / Walter Johnson) walked, stole second and moved to third on a single by Kaylee Krietz (Thurmont, Md. / Catoctin). Scott came home on and infield, RBI single by Leaman to make it 5-4.

Brianne Long had three hits and drove in two runs for Albright. Sammi O'Connor doubled twice. O'Connor also went the distance inside the circle for the win.
GAME TWO: HOOD 7, ALBRIGHT 1
Leaman scattered nine hits and allowed just one run in a complete game victory, while three-run homers by Alcorn and Paugh proved to be more than enough offense.
Alcorn gave Hood a 3-0 lead with a shot to left that scored Fourcade and Paugh in the second inning.
After O'Connor drove in a run in the top of the fifth to cut the Blazers' lead to 3-1, Hood put the game out of reach in the bottom of the inning.
