FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College field hockey team dropped a 5-0 final to visiting Roanoke in non-conference action.

• Roanoke went on the attack from the start of the game, with Barrick's defensive stop coming in the second minute, on the game's first shot.
• The Maroons broke through in the 11th minute, after Poisal had already made six saves. Rebecca Schmidt rebounded her own shot and scored for a 1-0 edge.
• Shelbi Holloman and Megan Diehl also scored in the first half as the Blazers trailed 3-0 at the break.
• Fiona Dougan scored twice in five minutes, starting at 43:10, to finish off the scoring in the second half.

Notes

• Heather Schauder made one save in 57 minutes for Roanoke. Emma Clark was untested in relief.
• Kellie Jasinski had the Maroons' only assist. 
• Hood drops to 2-4, while Roanoke remains unbeated at 5-0.
