How it Happened
- Dickinson scored first in the second inning on a two-out triple by Austin Sumners with a man on first.
- Hood tied the game at 1-1, as Josh Gall opened the bottom of the fourth with a homer over the left field fence.
- The Red Devils answered in the top of the fifth with a two-run double by Jake Band. Band advanced to third on a throw to home on the play. A squeeze play brought Band in on the next play.
- Hood cut into the lead in the bottom of the fifth as Beck singled to right center and advanced to second on a single by Josh Greenberg. A fielder's choice and an error by the shortstop brought Beck in to score, cutting the lead to 4-2.
- The Blazers could not respond further, as the Red Devils scored twice more, one in the sixth and one in the eighth.
Notes
- Billy O'Neill earned the win for the Red Devils, giving up two runs, one earned with three strikeouts.
- Rick Hopkins and Max Matilsky each went 2 for 4 for Dickinson. Max Brown was 2 for 3 with a solo home run.
- Band added two RBIs on one hit for the Red Devils.
