GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Hood College softball team was swept in a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth doubleheader at Arcadia 8-0 and 1-0. 

Inside the Box Score

• Sophia Leaman pitched a complete game in the nightcap, allowing just one run on five hits and two walks. 
• Kristy Erfurdt had two hits in the second game and stole two bases.

Arcadia 8, Hood 0 (5 innings)

• Kylee Schwind tossed a two-hit shutout for the Knights. 
• Hood trailed 3-0 before Arcadia broke the game open in the bottom of the fifth. Jackie Bilotti, who had three hits in the game, had the big blow with a bases loaded double that made it 7-0.
• For the Blazers, Leaman doubled and Kristen Scott had a hit and a walk. Kayli Paugh went the distance but took the loss inside the circle.

Arcadia 1, Hood 0

• Leaman and Mary Pat Murray were locked in a pitchers' duel, with Murray notching the victory via a four-hit shutout.
• Murray scored the winning run, crossing home on a RBI single by Tori Zangrilli. 
• In addition to Erfurdt's two hits and two steals, Paugh and Calin Mitchell had hits for Hood. 
• Bilotti added two more hits in game two.
