Box Score 2 FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College volleyball team split a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth tri-match, defeating Lycoming before falling to Stevenson.

How it Happened vs. Lycoming
- The Warriors pulled within 7-6 in the first set, but a kill by Kari Betson ignited a 8-2 run that allowed the Blazers to pull away.
- In set two, Lycoming led 18-13 after an ace by Emily Morris. After a timeout, a Zinaich kill started a 12-2 run to finish the set and gave Hood a 2-0 lead.
- The Blazers trailed 23-22 in the third set, but two kills from Tailyn Kite and one by Zinaich brought Hood back to complete the sweep.
- Zinaich (11) and Courtney Hutchinson (10) both reached double figures in kills, while Belella had 34 assists.
- Emily Hepner led Lycoming with 17 digs.
How it Happened vs. Stevenson
- Hood fell behind 13-3 in the first set but rallied and pulled within 24-19 after a kill by Hutchinson before the Mustangs closed out the set.
- After Stevenson won the second set, a service ace by Kelsey Ritner made it 10-10 in the third set. A quick four-point run by the Mustangs followed and Hood could get no closer than three points after that.
- Annika Schwartz had 10 kills on 14 attacks for Stevenson.

- In the day's other match, Stevenson swept Lycoming (25-10, 25-16, 25-21).
