CHESTER, Pa. - The Hood College women's basketball team dropped a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth contest at Widener 85-32.

How it Happened

• The Blazers were ice cold at the start of the game, hitting just one of their first 11 field goal attempts. The Pride, meanwhile, shot 10 for 18 (56 percent) in the first period to build a 25-4 lead. 
• The numbers evened a bit in the second quarter, but Widener still led 52-17 at halftime. 
• Hood was unable to solve its shooting woes, finishing the day at just 22 percent. Widener connected on 45 percent of its shots in the game. 

Notes

• Emily Hardy came off the bench for a 12-point, 18-rebound double-double, leading the Pride to a 56-28 rebounding edge. 
• Devan Rimmer and Allison Gallagher scored 13 points apiece, while Kyra Schenk and Emma Gardy added 10 points each. 
• Madison Ireland dished out seven assists.
