Women's swimming drops close dual to Stevenson

FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's swim team lost a closely contested dual meet to visiting Stevenson 90-87. 

How it Happened

  • Danielle Pong came within 0.13 seconds of the school record in her victory in the 100-yard breaststroke. She swam a time of 1:09.22, narrowly missing Arielle Harding's seven-year-old school record. Pong was also a winner in the 100 butterfly in 1:02.63. 
  • Brianna Hand-Solomon won two events. She claimed the win in the 200 freestyle in 2:10.58 and the 100 free in 57.61. 
  • The 200-yard medley relay of Hand-Solomon, Kate Sanborn, Pong and Ann Coleman won in 1:57.49. 
  • Coleman took the win in the 500 free in 6:05.89.
