- Melissa Merritt hit the frame early after 5:14 of play but the left-footed chance was denied by the goalkeeper.
- Franklin & Marshall took an early 1-0 lead in the sixth minute when Meg O'Callahan headed a ball from Nicolette Runko that found the back of the cage.
- The Blazers found themselves down 2-0 after Emilee Adami finished a cross from Runko in the 17th minute.
- An opportunity for the Blazers came in the 28th minute when Erin Scarborough's effort from just inside the 18-yard box was swallowed up by the charging keeper.
- Runko capped off the scoring in the 57th minute after a solo effort.

- Sara Ghorashi made two saves in 68 minutes for the Diplomats. Gabby Panayotakis played the remaining 22 minutes.
