Box Score YORK, Pa. - The Hood College baseball team was eliminated from the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships by Arcadia by a 9-2 final score at PeoplesBank Park.

- Zak Thomas drove in a run in the second inning and the first run of a two-run fourth as the Knights took a 3-0 lead.
- Beck scored on a wild pitch in the sixth before a throwing error by the Blazers allowed run to score in the top of the seventh to make the score 4-1.
- Hood cut it to 4-2 in the bottom of the inning on an RBI single by Brad Sawyer that knocked in Copenhaver.
- Nick Ponente doubled with the bases loaded in the eighth to put Arcadia down by five. The Knights added two more in the top of the ninth to put the game out of reach.
Notes
- Thomas and Trevor Mattson each had two hits for Arcadia, while Thomas and Ponente both drove in three.
- Joel Bartoni scattered nine hits and four walks in a complete game win.
- Hood finishes the tournament with a 25-13-1 record.
ANNVILLE, Pa. - Hood College's Megan Carter was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Women's Tennis Player of the Year, while doubles partner Skylar Wright joined her on the all-conference team.
Carter, who was also named to the All-MAC Commonwealth First Team, finished the season with 11-2 record, including 10-1 in dual matches at No. 1 singles. Carter lost only once in singles play in MAC Commonwealth action. The sophomore was named to the all-conference second team last year.
Wright was voted as an All-MAC Commonwealth Honorable Mention. She went 7-7 on the year, including 7-5 at second singles.
The duo played together at first doubles and went 8-4 in doubles play.
