FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College volleyball team dropped a match to visiting McDaniel 3-0.

• McDaniel won 25-21, 25-18 and 25-20.

• Tailyn Kite and Carrington Ray had seven kills apiece for the Blazers.
• Kameron Crawford dished out 13 assists, while Ashley Williams added 10.
• Emma Elizondo had 10 digs and three blocks.
• Shane Simms finished with four blocks.

How it Happened

• In the first set, Hood held the lead much of the way, including 19-17 after a kill by Taylor Schaefer. Back-to-back aces by Anna Jezerski helped give the Green Terror a 20-19 lead three points later. 
• McDaniel jumped out to a 17-6 lead in the second set. The Blazers answered with a 12-6 run and pulled within 23-18 on a Carmella Fouts kill before McDaniel took the 2-0 lead in the match. 

Notes

• The Green Terror's Abigail Hernandez led all players with 13 kills, while Isabel Paci added 10.
• Gayle Edelstein finished with 21 assists.
