ANNVILLE, Pa. -  Hood College's AJ Lewis set the school record in the long jump, winning the event to lead the Blazers at the LVC Indoor Invitational. 

Records & Victories

• Lewis broke his own record on his second jump of the evening, leaping 6.62 (21-8 3/4), which held up for the win. The senior nearly matched the mark with a 6.61 on his final attempt of the day. 

Personal Bests

• Lewis advanced to the finals of the 55-meter dash and was fifth in 6.82 seconds, 0.01 faster than his preliminary time. He improved his personal best by 0.03 and remains the third fastest in the event in school history. 
• Fred Roberts turned in a 7.10 in the 55. He was also fourth in the long jump with a career-best 6.29-meter leap (20-7 3/4).
• Evan Ellington had a 57.77 in the 400.

• Ellington (6.96) in the 55. 
• Lewis and Roberts in the long jump.
